Conference Culture presents conferencing and event opportunities in the city's major cultural facilities, Leeds Town Hall, The Carriageworks and Leeds Art Gallery. 

Leeds Town Hall
Iconic, historic and refurbished, Leeds Town Hall is every inch the perfect host for all kinds of events, great and small.

  • The Victoria Hall offers one of the largest spaces available for hire in Leeds, ideal for a presentation to an audience of up to 1200 people or a banquet for 400 people. With seating removed the Victoria Hall can be used for a wide variety of events - dinners, conferences, exhibitions or dances.
  • Meeting rooms Flexible meeting room space enables breakout from the Victoria Hall to a choice of 11 meeting rooms, some of which have stunning vaulted glass ceilings.

The Carriageworks

  • Theatre Seating in the theatre is fully flexible and can be moved to create a flat floor space. The theatre is also equipped with extensive theatre lighting, a full public address system, a data projection facility and an infra red induction loop system.
  • Meeting rooms  Three of the six meeting rooms are in the historic part of the old carriageworks development. These meeting spaces reveal exposed brickwork and roof beams in keeping with the Victorian architecture whilst providing a light and airy studio feel.

    To complete any social function, bars situated on the first and second floors and provide spectacular views overlooking Millennium Square.

    As well as a conferencing venue The Carriageworks provides a range of entertainment to local audiences and provides an important performance space for local performing groups and companies.

Leeds Art Gallery

Built in 1888 the Art gallery has some beautiful spaces.

  • Theatre  In the centre of the gallery is a large double height lecture theatre with part-raked and part-moveable seating. With projection room and breakout facilities, the space is ideal for a presentation of up to 200 people.
  • Galleries The Ziff Gallery has many original features to match the striking Victorian art. Upstairs, top lit galleries create more contemporary light and airy spaces to reflect the modern collection, whilst the Sculpture Gallery on a series of different levels creates more intriguing intimate spaces. All of these galleries are available to hire for receptions.
