Step into the museum and explore four floors of stunning exhibits and intereactive displays. Galleries include Life on Earth, Ancient Worlds and the breathtaking Leeds Arena - all bringing to life the fascinating treasures in Leeds' collections. Come and see the Leeds Tiger's new home and the final resting place of Nesyamun, the Leeds Mummy.
The awe-inspiring Leeds Arena will present the history of Leeds past and present and will feature a giant floor map of the city, interactive podiums and five huge screens suspended from the grand ceiling.
As if this wasn't enough, blockbuster touring exhibitions will be visiting too! 'Eating Creepy Crawlies' opens the Museum's special exhibitions programme (admission applies, tickets from £2.50). This exhibition comes from The Natural History Museum, London. Dare you come and try locusts for lunch or dragonflies for dinner?

Leeds City Museum opened its doors for the first time on the weekend of Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 September.
A weekend of fun-filled entertainment took place on Millennium Square including, dance performances, arts 'n' crafts, face painting, Roman soldiers re-enactments, African mask making and drumming and much more!
