Since opening in 1990 West Yorkshire Playhouse has established a national and international reputation, providing both a thriving focal point for the communities of West Yorkshire and theatre of the highest standard for audiences throughout the region and beyond.
West Yorkshire Playhouse is on Quarry Hill opposite the bus station in the centre of Leeds.
The Playhouse has two stages – The Quarry Theatre and The Courtyard Theatre. The Quarry Theatre has 750 seats. The Courtyard Theatre is a flexible space but in its standard layout seats 350. Both theatres have level access. They open 30 minutes before the performance starts and we like people to get to their seats in good time so the show can start on time.
