Research Governance

All Health and Social Care organisations are required by the Department of Health to have a Research Governance Framework. Research Governance is concerned with ensuring the following

  • People involved in research are valued and supported
  • Research is consistent with the Department's duty of care
  • Research is carried out to a high standard
  • Research informs and improves our service delivery

Leeds Social Services has a board which governs research. If you are undertaking research, or your service has been approached to take part in research, you should contact the Departmental Research Governance Co-ordinator at the postal address or e-mail link.
