Adult social care helps people who need extra support, or vulnerable people to live as independently as possible. Below is a summary of the services we offer.
How to access social care support
If you feel you would benefit from social care support, the first step is to contact Adult Social Care on 0113 222 4401 to arrange what we call a self-directed assessment. In the assessment, a care manager will talk with you about any difficulties you are having, and what support you may need. It's called 'self-directed' because you lead this process - our job is to support you to live your life as independently as possible.

- Read more about self-directed support - the new direction of social care. It's all about making it easier to tailor your support to suit your needs. You'll know how much you will be able to spend on your social care, and can choose how you receive this money and how your support is organised!
