Barnardos Willow Young Carers support young carers in Leeds up to age of 18, who provide the following.

Support in getting practical help, such as home care or breaks from caring

A volunteer befriender for positive supporting relationship

Opportunities for going out and having fun

Support groups to meet up with other young people in similar circumstances

Advisor to listen to any concerns or difficulties young carers have

Help to better understand what is happening to the person they care for

Work alongside schools to help understand caring issues
How to get help
Willow work on a referral basis so parents, young carers or professionals can either contact the service directly or complete the referral form (there are also guidance notes available).
