Carers Assessment
Many people are carers who do not know it and are missing out on support, benefits and companionship. By completing a carer assessment we will be able to provide relevant information and support. For example, if you care for a disabled person, we will assess any need for equipment or adaptations to the home and arrange delivery.
During the assessment social care provide an interpreter who speaks your language or dialect, to help you get your point across and explain to you the help available to carers. You can find out more in the carers assessment section.
Advocacy
This is a way of protecting and asserting your rights when dealing with organisations. If you find it too hard to take any complaint or dissatisfaction directly to the person responsible, advocacy services can help.
