How can I find out where my local leisure centre is?
There are 20 leisure centres and 18 swimming pools in Leeds and you can find out where they are from the leisure centre contact details page.

Can I get a sports and leisure pass in Leeds?
Yes. If you plan to use any of the council’s sport and leisure facilities, visitor attractions, museums and concert halls then you can save money with a Leedscard.

Can I make a leisure centre booking online?
Yes. If you have a Leedscard, Breezecard, Bodyline card, induction card or corporate sport pass you can now book leisure centre facilities online. Bookable facilities include squash, badminton, 5-a-side and table tennis.

Do you have contact details or information about local groups and societies?
Yes. Our voluntary, community and faith database holds contact details for over 2000 organisations, groups, clubs and societies in the Leeds area.

Where can I find out where my nearest local library is?
You can find your nearest library (as well as one stop centre, school, sports centre, recycling centre, playground, park, train or bus station, car park, health centre and lots of other points of interest) using Local view.

Can I renew my library book online?
Yes, you can renew your library book online if you set up an account by getting a PIN (personal identification number) from your library.

Where can I find out out about researching my family history?
The Local Studies Library holds free monthly Family History workshops. You could also visit the Local Studies library  in Central Library.

How many parks are there in Leeds?
There are seven major parks in Leeds, Otley Chevin Park, Kirkstall Abbey Estate, Middleton Park, Golden Acre, Roundhay Park, Temple Newsam Estate and Lotherton Hall Estate. There are also a number of community parks, playgrounds and skate parks and areas of local green space as well as nature conservation sites and woodlands. You can find out about the parks in Leeds from our website.

What museums and galleries are there in Leeds?
Leeds has a number of museums and galleries including  Abbey House Museum, Kirkstall Abbey, Armley Mills (Leeds Industrial Museum), Lotherton Hall. Temple Newsam and Thwaite Mills Watermill.
