Charity shops
There are dozens of charity shops run by many different charities in Leeds. See the weblink that will allow you to find your nearest. It is worth contacting the shop beforehand to check whether they will take the items you want to donate.
Don't forget to buy from them too to get yourself some bargains and support the charity. Many charity shops are also looking for volunteers.
Revive Leeds Re-use shop at East Leeds Household Waste Sorting Site take unwanted items. You can donate unwanted items to the shop which are then sold back to the public at low prices. You can get everything from good quality electrical goods, clothes, books, bric-a-brac and much more.
Second-hand furniture stores
Not all of these are registered charities and some will require evidence of benefits to be able to buy from them. Again it is worth giving them a call beforehand to check what items they take and whether they will collect.

Reuse your paint - Seagulls Reuse Ltd collect paint from the household waste sorting sites and then supply the paint very cheaply to the public. Unused paint donations by residents should be taken to the household waste sorting site.

Donate scrap materials for art projects - Scrapstuff take donated materials from companies, such as paper, card, textiles, plastics, wool and anything that can be used in art by schools or groups. They also facilitate art sessions for groups.

Donate your unused mobility equipment - Brighter Future Workshop is a charitable organisation based in Lancashire which recycles mobility equipment and are happy to collect equipment from Leeds by appointment.
