Parish and Town Council Annual Forum 

The parish and town council annual forum will take place on Wednesday 25 January 2012, 6.30pm-9pm. The agenda and further details will be circulated nearer the time.

Neighbourhood planning regulations consultation 

Following on from the parish and town council localism seminar copies of the Neighbourhood Planning Regulations Consultation document and response form are now available to download. 

As discussed at the seminar any local council who wishes to feed into our response should forward their comments on by 25 November 2011. They should be sent to Jane Harwood, Corporate Policy and Performance Officer, 2nd Floor East, Civic Hall or jane.harwood@leeds.gov.uk. The Department of Communities and Local Government website may also be of interest.

Information 

There are 31 parish and town councils within the Leeds metropolitan district. Funds needed to support their activities are raised by adding an extra cost known as a precept to each householder’s council tax bill.
