Executive BoardCommittee DetailsExecutive BoardPurpose of CommitteeThe Executive Board is responsible for the carrying out of the Council’s executive functions either directly, or by delegation to officers and as such, is the principal decision making body of the Council. The Board meets in public sessions approximately 12 times a year, usually at 1.00 pm on a Wednesday. The Board comprises of eight Executive Members with portfolio responsibilities relating to Central and Corporate Functions, Development and Regeneration, Environmental Services, Neighbourhoods and Housing, Children’s Services, Learning, Leisure and Adult Health and Social Care. The ninth Executive Member of the Board is the Leader of the Morley Borough Independent Group. The tenth Executive Member of the Board is the Leader of the Labour Group and a further member of the Labour Group is appointed as a non-voting advisory member to the Board.
