Would you like to get your council tax or business rates bill by email ?
If you pay council tax or business rates to Leeds City Council, why not get your bill by email rather than getting it sent through the post? This would save the council money on printing and postage as well as being more environmentally friendly.
If you would like to receive your council tax bill or business rates by email in future, please Register for ebilling
Alternatively, you can send an email to council.tax@leeds.gov.uk or business.rates@leeds.gov.uk putting 'ebilling request' in the subject field. You will need to provide your name and address, and the personal email address you would like us to send your bill to (you cannot use your work email address). If you can provide your council tax or business rates account reference number as well, that would be helpful, but if not, we can soon find it.
Why not take this easy step to 'do your bit' for the council and the environment?
Also, if you do not already do so, we urge you to pay your council tax or business rates by direct debit as this is cheaper and more efficient. If you would prefer to switch to direct debit, ring us on 0113 222 4404 with your bank details and we will set up the direct debit for you there and then. Or download the direct debit instruction from the right hand side of this page.
Important information
We will send all future bills and adjustment notices to the email address you have given us. Please make sure you tell the council tax or business rates office if you change your email address. If our email is returned to us undelivered, we will cancel this arrangement and send your bill by normal post to the mailing address held on our records.
On the right, you will find downloadable pdf versions of the guide/information booklet and leaflets which are normally sent out with bills, plus a downloadable pdf version of the information shown on the back of the council tax bill.
