Voluntary work is a great way to gain experience, use and improve your skills, develop new interests and meet new people while helping your community.

The Volunteer Centre Leeds is on the second floor at the Central library.

You can find out about a wide variety of voluntary work, which is available with small community groups, local and national charities, health and social services, and education.

Volunteers can work with:

  • Older people
  • Womens' groups
  • Children and youth
  • The environment
  • Admin and computers
  • Arts and music
  • Sport
  • Advice/helplines
  • Disability groups
  • and many more.

We run sessions every Thursday between 12pm and 5pm.
Sessions last about half an hour and you will fill out a simple form which tells us about your interests and skills. Anyone can go to these sessions.

If you would like more information or an appointment please ring 0113 297 7931 or email using the link on this page.

Volunteer Centre Leeds is a service provided by Voluntary Action-Leeds.
