Exciting News!
Plans are going ahead for the refurbishment of Moor Allerton Library which will mean the main library building will be closed from Friday 19th December 2008 7.30pm until the re-opening on 1st April 2009.
Our plans of work include:
- Re-wiring and installing new lighting and heating systems
- Replacing the large counter with a smaller customer friendly version
- Building a customer toilet
- Remodelling the IT area
- General reorganisation to make space for a new children’s area, young people’s area, a place to study, and a comfortable seating area for you to sit and relax
- Refreshing the book stock to give you a range of new titles to enjoy
Temporary library provision will be based in the library meeting room at the far end of the building with a limited selection of adult and children’s books.
IT facilities will not be available during the closure, but Chapel Allerton Library will be extending its opening hours.
