Cooling tower notification

Notification summary

If you control non-domestic premises you must ensure that you notify us of any cooling tower or evaporative condenser (notifiable devices) on the premises.  Notification must be in writing (including by electronic means) on a form approved by the Health and Safety Executive.

You must also notify us in writing of any changes to the notification information within one month of the change. If a device is taken out of use you must also notify us in writing or by email.

Notify us online 

New notifications:
You can notify us of a new cooling tower or evaporative condenser on-line or you can contact us by email if you prefer and we will arrange to send you the necessary form.

Changes to existing notifications:
You can advise us of a change to any existing cooling towers or evaporative condensers on your premises online or by sending us an email to the email address below.

The Register

All notifications of  cooling towers and evaporators condensers are kept in a public register which can be reviewed on request at the following address:
