If you live in Chapeltown or Harehills, you can look forward to finding a range of local services in one comfortable and convenient location. We are going to build a number of 'Joint Service Centres', which will house a range of council, health and community services. Each centre will have staff who will be able to help you with useful advice and information.
Work on the building will start early next year, and when completed, they will help the area to look more attractive. The centres will be open for business early in 2010.
We are working in partnership with the Leeds Primary Care Trust (PCT) and Leeds Local Improvement Finance Trust (LIFT) Ltd to develop our proposals.
Chapeltown and Harehills will benefit from this, and provide an opportunity to improve community safety and local employment opportunities. But we still need you to tell us what you think about our proposals.
In this part of our website you can find out what we want to achieve, and how we propose to do it. You will also find documents and information that we hope that you will find useful.
We have organised events in both Chapeltown and Harehills where people have had the chance to find out more about our ideas. People were also able to ask questions about the project and let us know what you think. If you could not attend these events, you can pick up a form from your local library or Housing Office. Please fill this and send it back to us as soon as possible. We need your comments to help us when we write our plans for the Joint Service Centres.
We have included on this page copies of some of the information that was on display at our consultation events
