Third sector - working together - public partnerships

Latest news
The Compact for Leeds has been ratified and formally launched. The Compact is an agreement to strengthen working relationships between the pubic and third sectors to deliver the best outcomes for the people of Leeds.  To find out more about the Compact please click on website links.

Another key document is the governance framework. This sets out guiding principles for both the Council and the voluntary, community and faith sector (VCFS) to use within a grant funding relationship.

The guiding principles underpin the aims of the framework which are to:

  • Develop better accountability and a 'one council' approach to funding the VCFS
  • Provide intelligence to inform future strategy and decision making
  • Put in place a transparent approach to resources allocation to the VCFS
quantify the Council's contribution to the VCFS
  • Achieve better alignment to strategic priorities and value for money.

Leeds City Council will be reviewing the implementation of the framework on an annual basis.  It will compliment the Compact for Leeds and the Code of Practice for the funding of organisations.

The framework can be downloaded as a PDF on the right-hand side of this page.  Please contact your funding officer in the council if you require further clarification.
