Making a difference locally in Leeds
Area Management is split into three teams that cover the whole of Leeds, the area management map will show you which area you live in. The teams are based in the areas they cover and work to ensure services are delivered effectively to the local area and help to improve the wellbeing of local residents. The three teams are:
We do that by implementing area delivery plans. These are action plans created by bringing together the public, private, voluntary sectors and the local community. The plans are aimed at improving service delivery at local levels and shaping local priorities and policies. We work closely with ward Councillors and support the work of the 10 Area Committees, this includes administering the area committee's wellbeing grants.
As well as area delivery plans we have put together further neighbourhood improvement plans and action teams of service providers to give localised support to particular neighbourhoods. Some of these neighbourhoods are New Wortley, The Heights, Little London, Holt Park, Oakwood, East End Park and Lincoln Green.
